A Walkthrough: From High Rents to Homelessness, and Back to Hope

Help us show legislators the realities of renting in Maine, and ask them to fund solutions, like the Eviction Prevention Program (EPP), to ensure Mainers stay in their homes.

This event includes a press component, with select speakers sharing remarks, and will move into time to speak with legislators about housing and build solidarity across groups for housing justice.

Celebrating Kate!
We expect many people to want to say a few words to Kate, so we will be organizing a line-up, to help share the space with everyone. If you have something to share, please let us know the topic of your story below. (Ex. general gratitude, housing campaign, EJPC, Medicaid expansion). This will help us organize the speaking portion of this event.
**There will also be a book where you can share stories, notes, thoughts, and gratitude to Kate, that she will bring home with her!

OPTIONAL: If you are interested in sharing your housing, eviction, or EPP experience, we would love for you to join one of our stations. Each station will feature a speaker from the press event, who has lived experience with housing and will be available to speak with lawmakers along with others who elect to join. To join, please indicate which station/topic that you have relevant experience with. You do not need to join a station to attend, this is just one aspect of the event.
